I am crafting a modern YA retelling of one of Ireland's oldest romantic tales with diverse representations, relevant themes, and a fresh perspective. Well into the first round of edits, I'm looking forward to querying this manuscript in the fall.
I was born in Ireland and raised on tales of our Fairy Folk as I played in local castle ruins, wandered cow fields in the west, and perched on a stool in my father’s pub, listening as my elders wove ancient stories anew.
I earned my BA from Mount Holyoke College in 2002 and my MA in English at the University of St. Thomas in 2008.
While my path led me to Minnesota, these stories began to bloom as I studied Irish Literature and Celtic History in Dublin. My writing style developed as I became a teacher, theater director, and mom. I'm delighted to finally share these tales!
